11 Days Cultural Tour


Fly into Paro by Drukair flight (Royal Bhutan Airline).
After immigration and customs formalities, the representative of Jigdrel Chogyal Yangsel Tours and Treks will receive you at the Airport.
We will further drive towards Thimphu (The capital city of Bhutan). It is about 1 Hour drive.
En route – Thimphu, we can do a short hike (10 minutes) to Tamchog Monastery  (iron chain bridge). After arrival in Thimphu – Lunch at Chha restaurant.
After lunch, check you into the premium Hotel. Rest for an Hour.
After Lunch sightseeing include: Centenary Farmers’ Market , Zilukha Nunnery  and Day off visiting Tashicho Dzong.


After Breakfast, We will Visit Buddha point, Memorial Chorten, National Folk Heritage Museum or simply Bhutan, Zorig Chusum, The Bhutan Postal Museum.
Lunch at folk Heritage.
After lunch, we will visit Textile Museum, Junghhi Handmade Paper factory so we will feature with Tea and light snacks. Finish the Day off visiting “Simtokha Dzong”.


Departure from Thimpu to Punakha. Early drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass 3140 m , which it takes 3 hours to Punakha.
Tea will be served at Dochula cafeteria. After arrival in Punakha-we will serve lunch at Rinchenling cafeteria – we will be walking through the Metshina Village and take a 20-minute walk through the rice fields to the Divine Madman’s Monastery – Chhimi Lhakhang, famously known for its fertility shrine, where couples unable to conceive come here for blessing.
If Time Permits: We will visit Nalanda Buddhist Institute, Sangchen Dorji.


After breakfast, we will take a short hike through farmhouses to the beautiful Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Lhakhang (temple) built by Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck (the Queen Mother of Bhutan) for peace and stability in this ever-changing world.
The leisurely walk up to the temple would take about an hour. After Hike, an exciting rafting tour awaits you.
After a fully safety briefing, you take to your raft for a ‘soft’ rafting experience down the Pho-Chu (Male River). This rafting tour is expected to last 1-2 hours.
Picnic lunch will be waiting for us along the riverside, after a picnic lunch on the riverside, after a picnic lunch, we will visit Punakha Dzong .
Day off visiting – Longest Suspension Bridge.


After early breakfast, drive to Bumthang via Trongsa and we will cross over Pelela pass at 3250 meters. Lunch will be at Chendebji Restaurant . Visit the Chendebji monastery .
We will drive 3 hours to Bumthang valley via Yutongla Pass 3400m. EN – ROUTE – stops at Chummey village to visit Yathra -weaving central which Yathra are made into colorful scarves, bags, blankets and sweater. Continue to Bumthang.
After arrival in Bumthang, we will check into premium Hotel at JAKAR VILLAGE LODGE transfer to the room, which is specious quiet, peaceful place rooms to relax.
If you like, enjoy your sandwich and a cup of tea in your cozy community room after your sit from tired of traveling.


Bumthang is a religious hub in Bhutan with many temples, monasteries, scared places and pilgrimage sites. After Early Breakfast, we do our sightseeing, which includes: JAKAR DZONG, which literally means “The Castle of White Bird” and the fortress used as an administrative center of the valley and summer residence of the monks.
KURJE LHAKAHNG means, “Body print”. The temple was built around the cave in which guru Rinpoche meditated and left the body print. JAMBAY LHAKHANG (this monastery was built in the 7th century by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo, It is one of the 108 monasteries built by him to subdue evil spirits in the Himalayan region).
After lunch – visit Red Panda Brewery and cheese factory, Bhutan only commercial cheese factory. Tour includes free cheese tasting.
The production of two kind European style cheese, elemental and gouda, was started in Bumthang in the 1970 by Fritz Maurer, a Swiss man who settled in Bumthang. They have become as Bumthang cheese.
Evening visit: different handicraft shops and around the small town of Bumthang.


After breakfast, We will further to Drive from Choekhor valley to Tang valley (2 hours Approx.) up the hill on the farm road and visit mystical Ugyen Choling palace which is a national treasure.
It remote location makes it the less frequently visited historical sites in Bhutan. After lunch at Ugyen Choling palace, drive down to visit Tang Rinpoche’s temple and nunnery.
En route, short hike to Menbar Tsho (burning lake).
This lake is the lake in the country and is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. Continue journey to URA Valley, one of the oldest villages of Bhutan located at an elevation of 3100 m. stroll around URA valley and hop into few friendly villagers home for tea and chitchat.
The people here still live a semi-nomadic lifestyle by herding yaks and sheep. If interested, you can hike in the high mountain pass of sherthanla pass and it is downhill hike to reach the village of URA and where you will be picked up by your transport(one hour walk).
In evening, drive back to Bumthang.


After Breakfast, Further Drive to Gangtey & Phobjikha valley (alt. 3000m/9845ft) above the sea level.
The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan and it is one of the most beautiful glacial valleys of the Himalayas and famous for the black necked cranes during winter which migrants from Tibet.
After arrival in Gangtey, we will check into the premium Dewachen resort. Sightseeing includes: We will visit Bhutan biggest Nyingmapa monastery in Bhutan and then hike the nature trails (5 K.M.).
In evening – We will let you to experience to get close up stay at the traditional architecture of rural Bhutan farm House.
We will also let you to experience variety of authentic Bhutanese Dishes, try local food, interact with families, children, enjoy the BuKhari (wooden burning stove) to get warmer and you can relax whist sipping some Bhutanese wine .
We would strive to showcase the living culture and traditions and harmony with modernity.


After breakfast, we will travel back to Paro and Lunch will be served at Thimphu at Menchuna.
On the highway from Punakha – Thimphu. After arrival in Paro, We will visit the day sightseeing, which includes: Ringpung , Taa Dzong . Ringpung Dzong – which means ‘fortress of the heap of jewels’. It was built in 1646 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel and is one of Bhutan’s most impressive Dzongs in the country, which depicts the finest examples of Bhutanese unusual architecture. It serves as the administrative center of the Paro district and also houses the state monastic community.
Ta Dzong-originally built as a watch tower of Paro Dzong in 1951 is now converted to the National Museum in 1968. Kyichu Temple one of the 108 temples built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King Songsten Gampo.
Dinner at local restaurant will provide delicious Bhutanese cuisine. After sightseeing- we will check you into the premium Hotel and we will transfer to the Cottage room, guest can relaxed and enjoy comfortable environment at room.


After early breakfast, Start Tiger Nest pilgrimage – we will visit the Taktsang Monastery a highlight of the trip. The visit requires a 5 – 6 hours hike.
For those who cannot hike, maybe pony ride half way to Tiger’s Nest Takthsang cafeteria, and enjoy the Taktshang views very closely. Guest will take a break at Taktsang Cafeteria (Second point of view) for a Tea break – Lunch at Takshang cafeteria.
